Boy or Girl?

We got the pleasure of seeing our precious little one on May 8th! It was so great to finally get to see the baby.  I never realized how spoiled I was during my pregnancy with the twins until I became pregnant with only one baby.

It still amazes me how different a multiple versus singleton pregnancy is.  With this baby I feel like I have hardly seen it and have no idea how it is growing and developing.  With the boys we went to the doctor every two weeks and did an ultrasound.  During the ultrasound we got to see the babies and the dr measured all of their bones, the parts of their brains and hearts, their bellies and heads and everything in-between!  With this little one we have only had the opportunity to see the baby one other time!

May 8th was special not only because we got to see the baby, but we also got to find out if it was a boy or girl!

We had our appointment at 1 in the afternoon and then planned a big dinner with our family to announce the news to everyone at once.

I still love hearing everyone’s guesses.  This go around I had no idea what I thought the baby would be, this pregnancy has been completely different but I was not sure if it was because it is a singleton pregnancy or because the baby was a girl.

The appointment went great and we found out that the baby is growing and developing perfectly! Praise the Lord for a healthy little one.  Once we knew if the baby was a boy or girl I made cupcakes with pink or  blue centers for all of our family to bite into at the same time and find out the sex of the baby.

We got everyone together, had a great dinner and laughed as each person discussed their guess as to the sex of the baby.  Once everyone finished dinner we made the announcement!

My beautiful sister passed cupcakes out to everyone who then waited patiently so that that each person could bit into the cupcake at the same time.

Then everyone bit into their cupcakes and all found out…..

We are having another BOY!! We are so excited to be adding a precious little boy to our family.  We have decided to name him Eli, but have not chosen a middle name.

I think it is just perfect that we are having a boy.  All three of the boys will be about 13-14 months apart so I just know they will be great buddies and go on some amazing adventures together.

Praise the Lord for perfectly healthy baby Eli! We cannot wait to meet him!

Thank you! How neat that you have three boys as well. How far apart are your boys? I would love any advice on managing three little ones that you have! Adding another to the mix makes me a little nervous, but my Hubby keeps telling me that it has to be easier because it is only one baby. 🙂
